Frederick Chavalit Tsao is the Chairman of IMC Pan Asia Alliance Group since 1995. He is also the Chairman of IMC Corp Group since April 2008 and its Group CEO since November 2008.

Mr. Tsao first joined the IMC Group as an engineering trainee. Since 1979, he has started a number of new businesses in the Asia Pacific region and was instrumental in the success of Unithai Line PCL, the IMC Group’s Thai shipping arm. He also expanded the IMC Group’s shipping business to other maritime businesses such as shipyard operations, transportation, storage and ship and crew management, and diversified its shipping activities into other business areas such as industrial logistics, mining, offshore engineering and real estate.

Mr. Tsao holds a Master of Science in Engineering (Industrial and Operations Engineering) and a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering) from the University of Michigan. Mr Tsao served as Chairman of Intercargo, an international association representing one-third of the dry-bulk cargo ship-owners, from 1998 to 2005. He remains an Executive Committee Member of Intercargo. Mr Tsao is also a Director of the China Ship-owners Mutual Assurance Society. He is a Member of the Bureau Veritas Asia & Australia Committee, and the American Bureau of Shipping.
